SSTO exists to close the homeownership gap for working families who have been historically underserved by traditional financial systems. We provide the tools, education, and one-on-one support needed to build lasting financial stability and achieve the dream of homeownership.

How SSTO Came to Be
Self Sufficient Transparent Ownership was founded in June 2026 by Sheila Greene, a finance professional with more than 20 years of experience helping families navigate credit, budgeting, and long-term planning. SSTO was created in direct response to a clear and persistent gap: too many Minnesota families — hardworking, motivated, and deserving — were being left behind by financial systems that were not designed with them in mind. Sheila saw families who wanted to build stability and achieve homeownership but lacked access to honest guidance, practical tools, and the kind of one-on-one support that actually moves the needle. SSTO was built to change that — to give families a transparent, structured path toward self-sufficiency and lasting financial security.

Sheila Greene
Sheila is the Founder and Executive Director of Self Sufficient Transparent Ownership (SSTO), established in 2026 to expand access to financial stability and homeownership for families across Minnesota. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, she brings deep expertise in budgeting, credit building, and long-term planning. Sheila created SSTO to provide families with transparent guidance, practical tools, and a clear pathway toward self-sufficiency and sustainable homeownership.
